Program Participants‐
The competency‐based hands‐on skills review portion of the program is designed to allow certified athletic trainers the opportunity to review and perfect the low‐frequency but high fidelity emergency care skills that are often needed in a critical incident. Physicians, EMS providers, and others are welcome to attend this portion, but not required to.
For maximal individual and team outcomes, participation from the entirety of the interdisciplinary medical team is strongly recommended for the practical skills integration portion of the program, including, but not limited to:
o Team athletic training staff
o Team performance staff
o Team Physicians
o EMS personnel
These can be stand alone programs where we will present an entire topic from lecture based learning to skills development over a 2 hour period. This is based on a NATA Convention model with a 45 minute lecture followed by a 75 minute skills lab. Topics can be more involved with open discussion and in person Q&A sessions between activities and at the conclusion of the event.
