Ed has been certified for 20 years and worked in both High School and College programs in addition to being a rotational athletic trainer and traveling the world with the Ski and Snowboard Teams. The Acute care of patients has always been the passion throughout Ed’s career working in EMS, Athletic Training and even as a ski patroller at several mountains.

In addition to being a certified member of the NATA, Darryl has worked with various SWAT Teams as their Tactical Medic and Athletic Trainer, and as a volunteer EMT, and has been an American Red Cross first aid, CPR, and AED instructor for greater than 30 years.

SMEM clinical faculty are licensed and credentialed health care professionals in the fields of athletic training / sports medicine and EMS who are uniquely qualified to instruct the SMEM curriculum.
SMEM clinical faculty bring greater than 75 years of practical experience in professional, college, and/or elite‐ level athletic training / sports medicine, EMS, law enforcement, and crisis and emergency management.
A minimum of TWO (2) clinical faculty members will be utilized to effectively deliver the on‐site portion of the program.
(Staff size will depend on content selected and training environment for the event)
o Masters’‐level athletic training student interns from CAATE‐Accredited athletic training programs may also be utilized to assist with logistical tasks on site and serve as standardized patients when necessary.
o Full Faculty bios will be shared approximately two (2) weeks prior to the start of the program.
