Hétfő La Rochelle-ben - Nóra és Zétény
A hetünket La Rochelle-ben egy igazi francia reggelivel kezdtük a sulis menzán, ami croissant-ból, brioche-ból és pain au chocolat-ból állt. Ezután lehetőségünk volt beülni egy francia nyelvű matek órára, ahol is felmérhettünk, hogy az ottani oktatás mennyire különbözik a miénktől.
A következő programunk az előre elkészített prezentációk bemutatása volt az iskolánkról. Rengeteg érdekes tényt ismerhettünk meg a francia és az olasz iskolarendszerről is.
Délben elmentünk ebédelni a menzára, ahol hatalmas kinálat volt, így mindenki kedvére választhatott.
A napunkat az iskolában egy biológia és egy fizika órával zártuk, ahol érdekfeszítő kísérleteket kellett elvégezni párokban. Este mindenkinek volt lehetősége együtt vacsorázni a szállásadó családjával és jobban megismerni őket.
Tuesday in La Rochelle by Korina and Benjámin
Today was quite exciting! To start, we had a great game of code breaking then a very interesting presentation about women in the Roman times.
After all of this we had to find a way out of an escape game with our team and then make our own game.
Then we visited the center of La Rochelle and climbed up a tall tower where I could see the beautiful ocean; it was breathtaking. After that, we and the class went on a boat ride, and being out on the water felt truly amazing. Before that, we had a blast playing an orientation game with our host. We had to find different points on a map, and it was really enjoyable.
Szerda La Rochelle-ben - Zsófi and Petra
Szerdán a La Rochelle-i központban találkoztunk. Csoportokra osztva azt a feladatot kaptuk, hogy egy térképet használva, különböző helyszínekre jussunk el és egy rövidebb ismeretterjesztő vagy találós kérdés alapján csináljunk fotókat az ottani nevezetességekkel. Így nem csak a város főbb pontjait volt lehetőségünk megismerni, hanem azok történetét is.
A délutánunk szabad volt, ezért mindenki eldönthette, hogy mit szeretne csinálni. Volt aki ellátogatott a város népszerű akváriumába, majd sétálni ment a többiekkel. Mások a La Rochelle melletti szigeten (Île de Ré-n) néztek körül és látogatták meg a nevezetességeit.
Este sok élménnyel és kilométerrel a lábunkban feküdtünk le és készültünk fel a hét második felére.
Csütörtök La Rochelle-ben - Zita and Bence
A csütörtöki reggelünket a szokásos létszámellenőrzéssel indítottuk, majd kisvártatva összeverődött a csapat apraja-nagyja. Egy igencsak hosszú és monoton busz útnak néztünk elébe, ám ez cseppet sem szegte kedvünket, amit a vidám beszélgetések moraja is igazolt.
Saintes városába érkezve megpillanthattuk az egykoron római építészek által emelt, roppant diadalívet. Az emlékmű múltja nehézségeinek ellenére a mai napig kitartóan ékesíti a helység központját. A következő állomáshoz vezető sétánk során számtalan káprázatba ejtő utcasoron haladtunk keresztül. Majd végső soron bemutatásra került a városka amfiteátruma, mely éppen a jól megérdemelt restaurálásán esett keresztül.
Miután búcsút vettünk idegenvezetőnktől, folytattuk utunkat Barzanba, ahol lehetőségünk nyílt megszemlélni az ásatások során feltárt tárgyakat, illetve egy fürdő és egy torony romjait. Továbbá betekintést nyerhettünk abba, hogyan is készültek az ókori rómaiak körében közkedvelt „fibulák”, és készítettünk is néhányat. A nap végére jócskán eluralkodott rajtunk a kimerültség, ám rengeteg élménnyel gazdagodva tértünk vissza vendéglátóinkhoz.
Friday in La Rochelle by Aliz and Dömötör
We started the morning off in the computer lab, where each colour group had to create a presentation on a day of the week. Then, we presented it to each other, which summed up our activities throughout the trip perfectly.
At noon, we had lunch at the school canteen. Since it was our last day in La Rochelle, we were given a free afternoon to do whatever we wanted. Some people went shopping, while others explored the city.
In the evening, there was a Farewell Party at school. We had dinner together, then we spent the following hours by dancing, talking and simply having fun! Everyone was disappointed when the party ended. We had a great time, this trip couldn’t have had a better ending.
The project, involving 9th and 10th-grade students from three European high schools, aims to delve into the study of ancient Roman roads: where they passed though, why and how they were built, what remains of them in the surroundings of the three cities involved in the project. Throughout the project, video conferences will be organised, not only to facilitate synchronous collaboration among the participating students but also for online lessons with experts, so we can widen the walls of our classes to Europe. The educational approach will be Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Game-Based Learning (GBL), and the final output will be a virtual escape room per team created with Genially, so students will add some storytelling and use the the information about the Roman roads they obtained by their researches and during the experts videoconferences. An onsite meeting will be organìsed at La Rochelle from 11th to 15th March: 10 Italian students and 10 Hungarian students will be selected to take part in it.
