12/10/25 Banquet presentation by Mr. Paul Ofalla, Hilton Guam Resort & Spa banquet manager
I learned about napkin folds such as the candle, the fan, the rose and 2 more. I also learned from his stories that he didn't have a lot when he started compared to now. How he was able to combine his 2 skills and business. I am interested on how he stayed loyal to Hilton Hotel and also to his employer.
I was surprised how open Mr. Offalla was too the class and how bright he was to us. Also how he made sure that we understood the type of folds he was teaching us. I was also surprised that Hilton gives back to the community and that they have a website posting pictures
12/19/24 Guest speaker, Ms. Evon Wong, Westgate Resort & Casino, Las Vegas
Ms. Wong's presentation with us, made me more interested into the industry. How there are different types of taxes for employees. She told us about how many employees she works with , how many different sections there are. Las Vegas casinos seem very interesting to me. The way they care about if their visitors are entertained and kept comfortable.
I admire the way she was very forward with her answers and information she told us. The amount of events that happened in Las Vegas alone is a huge amount. It was an interesting amount of information just Las Vegas for the tourism industry.
2/4/24 We are the Future Conference at GCC
I learned that there's more to this subject. That team bonding is important to groups no matter what. The different types of jobs open to students. I played games such as sinking boats, fan painting, waving and also origami folding.
I think that its a great thing to experience if you want to go into the industry. The facts and helpful information given while attending. It was really helpful to find out more information. I'd say if enough to spark someones interest for the subject. The different presenters and the groups who hosted the event were very mindful for the students and their interests. The games were interactive for the students and started a few new bonds between new school.
Oct 14, 2024 Personality Survey
As an ENFJ (Protagonist), you possess a unique blend of charisma, empathy, and idealism that sets you apart in any crowd. Your natural ability to inspire and lead others is matched only by your deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the world around you. You have an uncanny knack for understanding people’s emotions and motivations, often sensing what others need before they even realize it themselves.
Your gift for communication allows you to articulate your visionary ideas with passion and conviction, drawing others into your orbit and motivating them to join your cause. You thrive on meaningful connections and have a remarkable talent for bringing out the best in those around you. However, your idealistic nature can sometimes set you up for disappointment when reality falls short of your lofty expectations.
I agree with this type of personality. Most of the time I try to make the world a better place. I try to take the lead when no one else would. For charisma and empathy I agree also due to me being me. Sometimes I do feel like I set myself up for disappointment when I depend on others too much. I do try and understand people feelings by putting myself in their shoes. To see how it feels and to help in anyway I can. For sensing what others need before they can realize that they need it, sometimes I just like to help in any ways.
