The objetive of the academic event "ELTAF 2022: It's all about balance" is to provide a space that allows the academic community to benefit from experiences in the academic and professional field of English teaching through workshops, talks and presentations presented by academics. The English Language Teaching Academic Forum (ELTAF) is being organized by the following higher education institutions: Universidad de Sonora, Universidad Estatal de Sonora, Escuela Normal Superior Plantel Hermosillo, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango, and the Universidad Técnica de Machala. The venue for this event will be the Department of Foreign Languages of the University of Sonora. Precisely considering the modifications that have been made in the teaching-learning process due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the topics that we want to highlight in this academic event are the following:

• Continuous development in the use of technologies

• Time management in the different instructional modalities

• Collaborative learning in virtual classes

• The teaching and learning of English and new methodologies

• Holistic integration in the teaching process

However, other topics relevant to the teaching and learning of languages are also welcome.
