What are benchmark tests? Benchmark tests are short online tests that available most of the school year for students to practice end-of-level type questions. It is strongly recommend that students take all of these benchmark tests throughout the year to familiarize themselves with the SAGE testing environment and to gauge how well they are progressing in each tested domain (NBT, OA, NF, and MD/G).

WSD Testing Calendar: The dates listed in the benchmark column are the blackout dates when the benchmark test will be down and unvailable for students to access. New York Released Items: Each year the state of New York releases test items from previous years tests. The purpose of these test items is to train teachers on the format and type of questions student will encounter on their end-of-level state test. While this test is not exactly the same as SAGE, it tests the same core content and has a similar content. These rich questions can be used to prepare students for end-of-level testing and used in formative assessments.
