Why We Don't Offer Waitlists Anymore & Why Pullets and Hens may Be Sold on Air Auction

At Elara Silkies, we’re committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for everyone interested in our beautiful birds. After much consideration, we’ve decided to discontinue waitlists for pullets and hens. Our experience has shown that waitlists can lead to long delays, unfair access, and sometimes disappointment when demand exceeds availability.

To keep the process simple and fair, all Elara Silkies pullets and hens will now be sold via Air Auction, with reserves set at our standard asking prices. This approach ensures everyone has a fair chance to bid on the birds they love, while giving us more time to focus on what we do best—raising happy, healthy, and high-quality Silkies. 

 Payment will be cash on arrival or PayPal only: this keeps things simple and safe online for both us and you.

Please note: If the winning bidder doesn’t pay and collect their birds within 7 days, we’ll offer the birds to the next highest bidder.

You will need to pre-register through AirAuction using an email to participate in the bidding process. If you are the winning bid, we will be in contect with you as soon as possible to arrange collection.
