Hi, My name is Andres Chavez, and I am an undergraduate student studying Spaceflight Operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with a minor in Human Factors. My interests include flying, and understanding how space exploration affects our environment.
My current research with the SEEL lab focuses on the impacts of rocket emissions on air quality in Cape Canaveral. Through comparing our field measurements using low-cost sensors vs the EPA sensors, I help investigate changes in pollutant concentrations associated with rocket launches. I am excited to contribute to the lab’s work and continue developing my skills in environmental monitoring and data research.
