Building a Safer Ward 2
Everyone deserves to feel safe walking to work, taking transit, visiting a park, running a business, or raising a family in Ward 2. Public safety is not only about crime statistics. It is also about whether residents feel protected, respected, and confident in their neighborhoods.
As councillor, I will advocate for safer public spaces, better lighting, improved sidewalks, safer crossings, cleaner parks, and stronger coordination between City services, Hamilton Police, outreach teams, businesses, housing providers, and community organizations.
I also believe safety requires prevention. That means supporting youth opportunities, recreation, mentorship, mental health supports, addiction services, housing stability, and stronger neighbourhood partnerships.
A councillor cannot promise to eliminate crime. That would not be honest. But a councillor can fight for the conditions that make communities safer: visible care, faster response to concerns, practical investments, and accountability.
Ward 2 deserves safe, clean, and welcoming neighbourhoods for residents, businesses, families, seniors, students, and visitors.
