Residents have raised important questions about the proposed AI Data Centre. I support innovation and investment, but major projects must include transparency, meaningful public consultation, and clear information before decisions are made. Residents deserve to be informed before, not after major decisions affecting their neighborhoods.

Public Safety

Public safety is consistently one of the most important issues raised by Ward 2 residents. Seniors, families, business owners, students, and visitors all deserve to feel safe walking our streets, using public transit, visiting parks, and enjoying our downtown. Public safety is about more than enforcement alone—it also requires prevention, accountability, mental health supports, and strong community partnerships.

Affordable Housing

Housing affordability affects almost every resident in Ward 2. Whether you rent or own your home, rising costs, limited housing options, and lengthy approval processes have made finding and keeping affordable housing increasingly difficult. My focus is on practical solutions that increase housing supply, protect renters, and improve accountability throughout the approval process.

Homelessness

Homelessness is one of the most complex challenges facing Hamilton today. Residents deserve safe neighbourhoods, while individuals experiencing homelessness deserve compassion, dignity, and pathways toward stability. Real progress requires balancing public safety with housing, mental health services, addiction treatment, and long-term support.
