Aging-In-Place/Universal Design

Designed by Ronda Lane, Tenhulzen Residential’s winning project transformed a daylight basement into a warm, accessible living space that supports comfort and safety.

The redesign introduced a universal-access bathroom with a zero-threshold shower and wheelchair-friendly clearances. An adjacent office was transformed into a spa-inspired retreat with a freestanding tub, heated tile floors, and abundant natural light.

The result is a seamless, compassionate remodel that blends accessibility and craftsmanship into a life-enhancing home.
