Social Rules
Between the ages of 5 and 7, children become more aware of their own body and the bodies of those around them. It's a time when I ask questions about the differences between girls and boys, about childbirth, and about human relationships. Social rules in sex education help them understand essential notions about respect, consent and personal boundaries.

✔ At this age, children can learn consent through simple rules:✅ If they want to hug someone, they have to ask first.✅ If someone tells him "I don't want you to play with me now", he has to respect that.✅ If someone asks them to keep a secret about their body, they must tell a trusted adult.
📌 How do we explain consent?✅ "If someone tells you they don't want to be touched, you have to respect that."✅ "If you don't want to be touched, you have the right to say 'No'."
🚫 What should we NOT do? • Force children to give hugs or kisses to relatives if they don't want to. • Tell them that they must always be polite and accept any touch.

✔ Children must learn that:✅ Every person has the right to control their own body.✅ No one is allowed to touch them in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable.✅ And they, in turn, must respect other people's bodies.
📌 Example of explanation for children:✅ "Your body is yours and no one is allowed to touch you without your permission."✅ "If someone wants to hug you, they can ask you first. Likewise, you should ask before you hug someone.”
🚫 What should he NOT learn? • That they must accept hugs or touches just to be polite. • That they can't say "No" if something makes them feel uncomfortable.
