Borrow Gear - FASS provides a collection of video gear for borrowing including Swivl tripods for following multiple speakers automatically. If you're staff of the Faculty, you can book FASS equipment here. Also, the School of Education and Social Work has additional resources for SESW staff.
Book DIY Video Booth - Book the purpose-built room on campus for professionally recording single-person videos (ie. lecture-style)
Involve Media Students - Contact academics in Media and Communications or Drama Education to see if they can recommend students interested in an internship opportunity to add to their CV/portfolio.
Hire Professional equipment - If you’re interested in hiring professional equipment or the green screen studio normally only available to staff and students at the School of Literature, Arts and Media (and you have a bit of budget to do so), contact Philip Glen. The SLAM team can also provide video consultation/advice or recommend professional services as necessary.
Hire a Professional - Use professional video production services available within the university or externally. (1) If your project fits within certain criteria (its for a DVCE initiative) then you may be eligible to get the services of the central pro team at Educational Innovation (contact Tom Cavdarovski to find out more). (2) If you need a marketing or promotional video, you can request video services from university marketing & communications unit. (3) Philip Glen at SLAM can recommend professional services in all other cases.
