Automated Feedback

Digital tools can be used to provide students with automated feedback, for example on their writing or even video performance.

Technologies

University-supported

  • Turnitin - Turnitin is a text-matching tool that can be used by students to promote better referencing practices and by teachers to detect plagiarism. More information at University ICT Services.

Unsupported

  • EQ Clinic - EQ Clinic is currently being used at the Sydney and UNSW Medical schools to provide video-based automated feedback to students on their communication with patients via a telemedicine system. It was developed at the University of Sydney School of Electrical and Information Engineering and is currently being used as part of a number of research projects. If you're interested in the potential for automated video-based feedback, contact Rafael Calvo at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering for more information.
