Project Report
You've build some literature foundation for your research question. It is time to move forward. You've probably read some statistic numbers regarding your topic in the resources you found, which is an important type of data in research called "quantitative data". I would like you to gain some experiences with another important type of research data - "qualitative data". You will construct two project reports, which will count as qualitative data for your research. Create two sub pages under Genius Hour Project and name them as Project Report#1 and Project Report#2.
Project Report#1
To complete your first project report, you need to find someone to interview about your topic. They could be a teacher, another student, a parent, etc. Anyone that would have an interest/ something to say about your topic. Think 3-4 questions that you want to ask them. Write down your questions and their answers in your report. Each question should has its own paragraph.
Project Report#2
This report will be the last chance for you to reflect on your research before your final presentation, so this is a researcher's reflective journal. In this report, reflect on following questions. Each question should has its own paragraph.
- What have you learned?
- What do you have left to learn?
- What is important about your research that should be shared with others?
- What types of questions would you recommend future students ask to continue your research?
The total points for each report is 100 points. Each question worth 25 points.
