Job 42:1-6
Job Listened to God's Questions
1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
Ecclesiastes 3:2-8
A Time for Everything
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Science tries to observe and tell us what we know about creation and life...Science is searching for the truth...Yet, science in the past has not looked at the Spiritual things and things of the sacred and holy...The Spiritual things are often the most important things for some people...Faith is a comforting Truth for many believers, yet science sometimes overlooks this...And we might believe that there is at the same time a time for science and a time for faith...Or maybe there is a time for science and a time for the Spiritual...
Job was a smart man...But when Job was suffering he was not looking for scientific truths...No, he was searching for answers from God...Job's comfort was found, when he felt the presence of God...
