本課程是基於林嘉澍老師歷年於國立陽明大學牙醫系碩博士班開設，頗受好評(呵呵)之「行為科學實驗設計與文獻整合分析」課，改編之數位化影音課程。本課程的主要目標是彌補牙醫系學生欠缺之實驗設計與實證醫學(特別是文獻回顧技巧)等基礎，使同學研讀研究所課程時，能對於一些研究方法的基本功，獲得較完整的概念並習得基本技巧。
This course is designed for MSc/PhD students from a clinical background to enhance their abilities in basic research skills. NOTE: The class is generally offered in Mandarin. However, if you are a foreign student who needs a class to be delivered in English, please let me know.
本課程的特色是循序漸進，大量援引與牙科臨床和行為研究相關的資料與範例，使同學能更快進入狀況，對下列四點有進一步的理解：
1. 有關科學研究的基本概念：能理解研究的基本要素(研究問題，研究假設，研究變項)的意義與彼此的關聯，能在閱讀原始研究文獻時更深入理解研究設計的重要性，並能將這些要素應用於開發自己的研究專題。
2. 文獻搜尋與整合分析：能理解系統性文獻回顧的基本精神與要素，了解進行系統性文獻回顧的步驟(特別著重於文獻搜尋)，了解評讀文獻的重要方法與基本的整合分析(meta-analysis)技巧，進而能針對自己的研究專題獨立進行回顧與分析。
3. 行為與心理測驗：臨床研究的對象既然是「人」，同學應能了解評估人類行為與主觀經驗時，如何正確使用評測工具(特別著重於問卷量表)，並能進一步評估這些工具的信效度，進而將這些知識應用於自己的研究專題。
4. 實驗設計與資料分析：本課程無異取代統計學或資料分析相關課程，但仍會對於基本的統計概念，包括統計檢定顯著性，型一型二錯誤，效果量與樣本數估計等概念做初步介紹，使同學能更釐清原始研究文獻的結論，並應用這些知識於自己的研究專題(例如懂得如何估計研究最小樣本數)。
