The Proficiency Resin Art Course covers a variety of techniques and is designed to give you multiple creative techniques and confidence using the medium and the equipment. All bookings must be made and paid in advance. Preferable to be completed in 6-12 weeks or less. Rescheduling is permitted.

Course Description:

Using quality artist's resin, pigments, inks and mica powders ensures you not only get a quality artwork but enjoy making resin art in a safe and supportive environment. You will be guided and tutored by an award-winning artist, to create your art on quality, professional grade, cradled boards, made especially for resin artists. Advice and guidance on equipment to purchase to set up your own studio and where to get the best products.

Your Workshop is conducted individually and I do try to pair up PRAC students so we work together, observe, learn and take home a beautiful project each week. Also conducted as a PRIVATE course where there is only one student in attendance. There are many techniques to resin art and you will learn a new one each week building a cache of skills you can use in your home projects. Each workshop provides a different challenge!

Cost: $1650

Here is the course schedule.

1. Introductory Workshop - Learning the basics of colour theory and design, equipment and tools used, board preparation, safety in the studio and personal safety PPE. Make a 60cm round artwork under guidance and supervision.

Advise optional board shape. Lesson 3.

2. Intermediate Artisan Workshop- Putting It All Together- Under supervision, concept visualisation, board preparation and combining learned techniques. Revision of design elements on 40m or 50cm art board. Option : Lazy Susan

3. New techniques using Butane torch and or Heat Gun. Board shape optional. Recent shapes- Ghecko, Seahorse, Boomerang, Crab, Fish, Dinosaur, Unicorn, Dolphin. Option :Timber Tray.

4. Functional Resin Art- prepare and decorate an approx. 35cm Cheeseboard and 4 Coasters.

5. Resin Art Geode style – preparation of a 50cm round board, design using crystals, fire glass and glitter and resin in a natural form. Hollywood!!

6. Resin Art - Diptych. Learning to design and create a balanced artwork to cover two rectangle boards which sit next to each other.
