Master Class, Intermediate and Beginner Workshops

29th and 30th June

I am super excited to launch the collaborative workshops of Artisue Creative and Eatlovepaint.

You are invited to join Sue and myself at this extraordinary series of workshops in Perth, Western Australia.

Sue Rosenberg is a lifelong artist with specialist skills in colour. Her love of art and of course colour led her to establish Artisue Creative which is now a leading brand of pigments for resin artists in Australia and the world.

A demonstration, individual consultation and guidance is provided while you learn the basics of pigments, safety and design and make your own beautiful resin art on a 60cm cradled board.

Small, intimate classes of 10-12, provide the workshop experience to enhance learning so you can take those skills home to continue you artistic journey.

10th June

Resin Art Exhibition in Joondalup

I have pleasure in exhibiting my resin art, Safe Passage at the City of Joondalup Art Awards. You will find over 150 artworks displayed at the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre.

Safe Passage is 5 layers of resin with clean white sides. This method of resin art is time consuming and requires many layers but the result is stunning as it is built up and you can see the layers. It is abstract in that it is a view from above where between the coastal reefs there are gaps where you can get a boat through to deeper water.

Safe Passage is now available to purchase on the website page Buy Art.

16th May

Winning Jewellery Award

I am very pleased to announce that my entry in The Artisan Store Fremantle Art Awards, " Kandinsky", won the prize for Jewellery. What an honour to be judged by three professional Perth jewellers and awarded the win.

All of the entries were so very creative and the Highly Commended entries of which there were 3, were outstanding.

The exhibition is open to the public until 24th May at 135 High St, Fremantle.

There are sculptures, paintings, textiles and of course jewellery, I would recommend a visit. Don't forget to also visit The Artisan Store at 80 High St, Fremantle too, where there are hundreds of works of art and giftware.

12th May

Art Award Entry

The City Wanneroo Art Awards open on Friday 12th May at the Wanneroo Library Gallery with a gala cocktail party and the announcements of the winners of the various categories and will then be open to the public for 4 weeks.

My untitled piece is in the painting section as it is ink on board. As you can see it needs to be seen up close to be appreciated as it has many layers, detail and depth.

80cm x 80cm Ink on Board is covered in 2 layers of glossy Art Resin.

FYI- her name is "Epiphany" but it is not listed as such..ssh... secret.

May 2018

"Hello Kitty" Painting

I was so pleased to receive a photo of of my painting, "Hello Kitty" hanging in her new home in Lancashire, England. She is quite the lady, an acrylic painting 1200cm x 900cm and perfect for my client's glamorous bedroom.

I have always loved to paint figures, women mostly but the ubiquitous cat, dog and bird also appear. The feel of a brush on canvas is so cathartic and I will return to it often.

April 2018

Mandjar Art Awards

My interesting painting Feast of Origins was sold recently at the Mandjar Art Awards. Entering art into a judgmental environment is challenging as you don't get to explain the narrative and there was certainly a story going along with this artwork.

Basically it was about renewal and the impermanence of our tenure, that this is all just the process. It is a happy painting and not as gloomy as that might sound, LOL.

Anyway, Mr and Mrs H are now enjoying this very colourful and many layered (in both senses of the word) artwork in their brand new home in Perth.

23rd September

I am privileged to be the Feature Artist at Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society Exhibition, and have new art painted especially for this exhibition. They are : Elysian, Pink Lake, Leveque, Embrace and Duende. There will be over 250 artworks on display in October and as the WJAS is a well respected art group which holds two exhbitions a year, it is quite usually a sell out, as locals know there are so many diverse and creative paintings to be found.

11th September

Melville Art Awards and Exhibition

My beautiful blue water piece is on display and for sale at the Melville Art Awards. The exhibition is open until 16th September. It is well worth a visit with over 200 pieces of art to view, including the award winning artwork by Ben Sherar.
