Create a communication book or board for a specific child
Use information gathered through the completion of an interest or vocabulary inventory (if you don't have a child in mind create a child profile and design the book based on that profile). *See document to right for vocabulary selection process if you need help determining vocabulary
Use best practices regarding SNUG (spontaneous novel utterance generation). The communication board or book must contain both Core and Fringe Vocabulary.
Use Core Vocabulary lists (found on Core Vocabulary page in AAC Implementation) as a guide as well.
Send me a PDF, screen shot or photo of the board or book AND a description of the child for whom you designed the book/board (the description may include pertinent info about the child as a rationale for why specific vocabulary and/or a specific format of board/book was chosen)

Create a video of yourself demonstrating the evidence-based practice of Aided Language Input with a light-tech or high-tech AAC system within a shared reading or read-aloud activity.
Choosing a picture book with repeating lines may be your best bet
Focus on the use of core vocabulary and supplement with fringe vocabulary
You do not need to have a child in the video with you if that doesn't work logistically. You can instead do a "read aloud" with the modeling of core vocabulary as a supplement to your reading. However, if you're able to get permission to do it with a child it's great practice!
