A member of a Chamber of Commerce or Business Group in Country NSW? You might be able to bring Bikes On Trains up as an item for discussion, pointing out the economic benefits of supporting the growing Bicycle Tourism market.

The Central West Cycle Trail initiative by local entrepreneurs is remakably successful in luring people from the cities to spend time and money in the country. The Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail is another. More routes and tracks can only help boost more towns towns throughout country and regional NSW. The State Government could greatly assist by removing the current restrictions on bicycle carriage on regional trains.

The current Regional Planning document for Central West and Orana is open for public comment and there are a number of places in that document where Bicycle Tourism could be mentioned as worthy of encouragement and recognition, along with a call for more Bikes on Trains.
