Traffic Enforcement Unit
The duties and tools that officers in the Traffic Enforcement Unit are in charge of are very unique. The prevention and enforcement of drivers operating motor vehicles while under the influence; the prevention and enforcement of reckless drivers operating their vehicles in a way that could endanger others; the prevention of vehicle-related accidents and injuries; the enforcement of pursuits and pursuit intervention; the use of rotary aviation vehicles to prevent and/or intercept traffic are just a few of the challenges that the Traffic Enforcement Detail is involved with. In order to ensure unit competency, it is expected of TEU personnel to follow any instructions specified in this publication and regularly conduct formal classroom and field training exercises for unit personnel. For the safety of not only the residents of Los Santos but also the officers and property of the Los Santos Police Department and its Traffic Enforcement Unit, all TEU personnel are required to study their unit's Standard Operating Procedures.
Unit Foundation
Upon the launch of the Los Santos Police Department within the Diverse Roleplay Community, the Traffic Enforcement Unit was created. The Traffic Enforcement Unit was founded In order to assist other officers and residents of the City of Los Santos with any traffic, transportation, and other vehicular needs. The LSPD Traffic Enforcement Unit runs with specialized vehicles and well trained officers that have undergone extensive training. The duties of the Traffic Enforcement Unit cover a wide range of traffic-related activities, such as motorcycle operations, checkpoints, protective escorts, aviation support, DUI enforcement, speed enforcement, speed intervention, intervention and prevention of reckless driving, intervention and prevention of distracted driving, prevention and aid to motor vehicle collisions, and protective escorts.
Unit Overview

Officers in this unit will continue the Police Department's patrol-based operations while gaining access to more complex scenarios.
