Criminal Investigations Team (CIT)
The Los Santos Police Department's Criminal Investigations Team is sworn upon by the Los Santos City Charter, the City Commission, and the Chief’s Office to perform a wide range of duties which include search and arrest warrants, gang enforcement and interdiction, human trafficking and firearms trafficking enforcement, street crime, organized crime, solicitation, and surveillance in accordance to certain cases. To enforce these duties, the Criminal Investigations Team utilizes low visibility or unmarked vehicles and operate in plain or tactical clothing. These tactical patrols commonly occur for gang enforcement and interdiction, combatting street crime, solicitation prevention, and high crime patrol routes.
CIT also conducts covert operations, which for the purpose and efficiency of the operations, will not be greatly expanded upon. Some of these operations may entail undercover assignments, surveillance methods like communications tapping and stakeouts, and stings like prostitution and drug deals. Our team takes a zero-tolerance approach to all human and firearm trafficking cases.
Our Criminal Investigations Team also conducts the majority of serving warrants within the city. CIT serves search warrants and arrest warrants, as well as special assignments requested.
Felons are not safe in our city. In Omnia Paratus.
