Reserve and Auxiliary Options
The Los Santos Police Department offers what is called a reserve program. In this program, applicants have the opportunity to apply and become police officers, but in a reserve capacity. This essentially equates to a "part-time" role, where officers do not have to fulfill a quota with the department but have the opportunity to otherwise operate as a fully sworn officer. However, as a reserve officer, you cannot be promoted past Senior Police Officer I. We encourage any civilian interested in law enforcement to give this program a try before applying as a full-time officer, if they have any hesitations.
