Started with the size of the bottles for the bottle holder.
Designed the inside boxes size first.
Decided the types of joinery for boards and staying with 3/4" boards.
Calculate the size of Each board and filled out cut list with notes.
Chopped Boards 1/2" longer than length needed. Kept B Boards together so I did not have to run small 7" board by itself.
Jointed, ripped, and then chopped boards. Messed up on B, because did not add the 3/4" board running through the middle. Had to remake.
Tested dado setup on a piece of scrap and adjusted.
Count the cost of mistakes at this point.
Cut dados and rabbets. Measured and cut for the bottom piece.
Glued, nailed, assembled and clamped the box.
Measured the fit of the inside handle piece. Designed on paper, used table saw for bottom cuts. Band saw then disc sander for rounded edges. Layed out holes.
Drilled holes out, then jig sawed the slot out. Used the shaper on the edges, and then the router on the inside of the slot.
