Setup the job, Width and Height don't matter much, but
Tickness:
Tall Box: .25
Short Box: .5
Type in the number of sides, and then the side length that you want, and create your polygon.
Click the offset tool.
Tall Box:
Offset inwards and a distance of .13. We need to be 1/8"(.125) smaller on each side, but we want to make sure it fits so we are going a bit smaller.
Short Box:
Offset inwards and a distance of .38. We need to be 1/4"(.125) smaller on each side, but we want to make sure it fits so ware are going a bit smaller.
Move the boxes to the very bottom left corner.
Click the profile cutout toolpath.
Click the smaller polygon. (The big one represents our actual box.) Put in the correct settings as shown.
Start Depth: 0.0
This means we are starting on top of the material.
Cut Depth:
Tall Box: 1/4" deep
Short Box: 1/2" deep.
Tool:
End Mill (1/4")
Machine Vectors:
Outside/Right
(We are cutting on the outside of the pink line.
Add tabs to toolpath:
Check the box
Length: .5
Thickness: 0.125
Click edit tabs.
Click 3 spots to add tabs. (These hold the poly in place for the last cut that is going all the way through.)
Make sure you have the inside poly selected, and check and fix the settings that are highlighted. We are going all the way through the board.
Short Box: Cut Depth: 0.5:
Tall Box: Cut Depth: 0.25
Calculate when done.
Preview your toolpath.
Click Save Toolpath Button
Make sure you have the correct machine and post processor selected. Click save toolpath.
Scroll down on the left and click the USB drive. (Usually D:)
Give the file a name, then click save.
