In the Fall semester of 2022, I became an Analyst for Queen City Consulting - a premier consulting organization at the University of Cincinnati that provides pro-bono, high-impact consulting services for businesses in the Greater Cincinnati Area. This eye-opening experience introduced me to the field of consulting and countless rewarding opportunities. Coming into QCC, my first project is to work with SubXRunning, a local running apparel brand in Cincinnati, to help the brand grow its ecommerce sales and improve its online presence.
Throughout the project, I had the privilege of analyzing SubXRunning's operations and marketing strategies. My primary objective was to provide recommendations for pricing strategies and website optimization. This entailed conducting thorough market research, immersing myself in the casual sports attire market, and exploring potential partnerships with influencers, organizations, and events to enhance the brand's e-commerce sales. Additionally, I had the opportunity to refine my consulting skills through networking, training sessions, and workshops facilitated by representatives from four major consulting firms such as McKinsey, Deloitte Consulting, BCG, and Accenture.
Through this experience, I have learned the intricacies of conducting strategic analysis, market research and collaborating effectively. The impact of this experience extends beyond my personal development, as it contributes to a local business that strives to build a community pride for Cincinnati runners. Armed with the lessons learned, I am excited to pursue a future in the consulting industry and beyond.
