Here are the concepts for the toys shown. The colors are not final yet, but the designs include the playful and adventurous spirit of the ocean. Every animal has a small loop on top to attach them to the belt.
The kid likes reflective items, these are incuded in the fish. This fish has multiple scales which have a different kind of texture.
To engage with the kid in multiple ways, this toy focuses on the hearing. Inside the ray is crinkling fabric used, which makes a funny sound when squished.
The jellyfish is has all kinds of different textiles as tentacles. Included are crinkly fabric and reflective fabric.
the cute starfish has playful bells and all a rubbery texture, this will be exciting for the kid.
The turtle has multiple features, on the top of the shell are multiple textures included for the kid to play with, and he can pull the legs, which makes the legs on the other side dissapear.
To make sure that the belt is will stay in place when it is tightened the inside of the belt has a piece of rubber on the inside. This will improve friction. To make sure that the belt stays tightened, there is made use of a ladder lock. (Shown on left)
Because of the aestethics a hidden stitch will be used. The straps will not be varaible in length because of overcomplication. (shown on right)
The final concept is shown on the left, with the kid in the maxi-cosi and the belt with all the toys. C clips are used to attach the toys to the belt. With this feature, the parent can swap the toys if the baby gets bored or outgrows them.
