HOW TO SAFELY CREATE MERCURY PLASMA

(Using noble gas blends inside a sealed quartz chamber)

🧪 COMPONENTS REQUIRED

Mercury Trace (Hg)

Provides mass and conductive ions when ionized

Noble Gas Blend

Acts as ionization buffer and frequency carrier

Quartz or Borosilicate Chamber

Transparent container for containment and resonance

Electrodes (Tungsten preferred)

For electric excitation / plasma ignition

High-Frequency Power Supply

Tesla coil, RF source, or pulsed DC inverter (1–50 kHz)

🌬️ NOBLE GAS BLENDS (Tesla’s Recommendations):

Argon (Ar)

Stable base gas. Helps contain ionization glow. Emits bluish-purple light.

Neon (Ne)

Enhances pattern formation. Emits red-orange plasma filaments.

Xenon (Xe)

Deep-frequency pulses. Excellent for coherence. Emits lavender-blue.

Helium (He)

Sharpens signal, high-frequency carrier. Add in small amounts.

Recommended Ratio (by volume):
60% Argon – 30% Neon – 5% Xenon – 5% Helium

🛠️ PROCEDURE

STEP 1: Prepare the Quartz Egg Chamber

• Evacuate air with vacuum pump.

• Backfill with noble gas blend (to ~5–20 Torr pressure—low enough for plasma).

• Introduce trace mercury inside the chamber before final seal. This can be a droplet, or ampule that cracks when heating begins.
  
  

STEP 2: Electrode Installation

• Place tungsten or molybdenum electrodes near the chamber poles.

• You can embed them in quartz, or run them into sealed metallic ends.

• Electrodes must not corrode or melt at ionization temps.
  
  

STEP 3: Ignite the Plasma

• Use high-voltage, high-frequency power source:

  • Tesla coil, spark gap driver, or plasma ball driver circuit.

  • Pulse the gas with 20–50 kHz bursts until glow discharge begins.

• Plasma will appear as glowing arcs, spirals, or filaments. These are harmonic attractors.

• The mercury will partially vaporize and join the glow discharge.
