Rupali Garewal
I did my Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from VNIT Nagpur. I build automated robots from scratch. My love for automation lead me to the vision of human safety at every point where human interacts with machines. The power of science can only be unleashed if we maintain a balance with mother nature. I believe in striking an efficient balance between humans and machines. I had worked with Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik on some mathematical aspects of machine learning. Currently I am pursuing a MS degree in robotics from Arizona State University, Arizona, USA. Aaditya Rudra
I did my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at VNIT Nagpur. I found myself more interested in the fundamental concepts on which engineering is built upon and diving deeper lead me to explore a whole different world in the quantum realm. Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik has been my mentor and guide in this journey of exploring Quantum Information Theory, Open Quantum Systems and other interesting domains of theoretical physics. I have been working under him on interesting geometrical and mathematical aspects of the Hilbert space and learning more along the way. I previously worked as a research intern at University of Luxembourg under Prof. Aurélia Chenu on the geometry of Non-Hermitian Quantum Systems. I am presently a research assistant at University of Vienna with Prof Nikolai Kiesel's experimental group on Quantum Cavity-Optomechanics. You can find me on LinkedIn where I would love to connect with me here https://www.linkedin.com/in/aaditya-rudra-a2726321b/
Tamaghna Chaudhuri
I did my B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at VNIT Nagpur. I was captivated by the interplay between physics and pure mathematics. Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik and myself used to have lots of informal discussion on various aspects of physics and mathematics and motivated by these discussions I started working with him on various aspects of pure mathematics like real analysis, probability theory, quantum mechanics and so on. Currently I am pursuing my M.Tech. in quantum technologies at IISc Bengaluru. I see that hopefully someday I will be a pure mathematician and satisfy my mathematical thirst!
Atul
I did my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at VNIT Nagpur. I had read about the connections between physics and workings of the human brain. So in search of something deep, I started working with Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik on aspects of path integrals and neural cognition out of my own interest. Not only that, we had discussed other subtle aspects of physics as welll. Currently, I have just completed my B.Tech. degree and was selected for a masters in technical physics at IISc Bengaluru which I did not take, waiting for more focused opportunities.
Zeeshan Ul Islam
I chose Mechanical stream at VNIT because of my love for physics in the higher secondary. Over time it got moulded into the practical applications of physics by working at IvLabs (Robotics lab of VNIT). I have worked upon developing simulation models for autonomous robots. My final year project made me interested towards developing intelligent systems which can be achieved with a full stack knowledge of robotics. Currently I am a first year MSE Robo student at University of Pennsylvania. I find being a roboticist is the closest to being human, as humans and robots have fundamental similiarities in their behaviour pattern which is sense, plan and act. I have been associated with Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik since the freshman year at VNIT and worked on developing a collaborative team for Quantum Physics and Artificial Intelligence. Khurshed Fitter
I did my Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Dept. at VNIT Nagpur. In 2021, I have been awarded the DAAD WISE Scholarship for my internship at the Kirchhoff Institute of Physics, Heidelberg University. My work will be focused on detecting entanglements in Bose - Einstein Condensates using entropy measures. I am working with Prof Dr. Ion Nechita and Dr. Cecilia Lancien from the Université Toulouse 3 Paul Sabatier, France. Our work is focused on applications of higher dimensional tensor norms to quantum information theory. Currently I am a masters student at EPFL Switzerland. I have been associated with Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik and I have been working with him in the areas of relativistic quantum mechanics and quantum information theory. You can connect with me here https://www.linkedin.com/in/khurshedpfitter
Abdul Aziz
I am married to engineering but in romance with physics. In my high school days, there was a hype for IIT & NIT mainly because of the high salary packages. But when I arrived in VNIT the situation was different, moreover I found my passion here (which wasn't engineering!). I have a zeal to know more about the universe, quantum gravity, string theory and black holes. My curiosity to find the true creator of the universe tempted me to work in these domains. Dr. M. S. Ramkarthik is my mentor in every stage of my pursuits in physics and I have worked with him on various mathematical and quantum mechanics problems. Currently I am a research associate at the Texas Tech University, USA and working on areas of coding, machine learning and theoretical physics. Susequently, I will be doing a Ph.D on theoretical physics.
