Visited Center for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRSP), Polytechnic of Leiria, Portugal on March 17, 2023 as visiting scientist. During this visit, a comprehensive brain storming sessions were organized for planning of the collaborative research activities and to organize the joint events such as workshops and international conferences.
Discussions were made with Dr. Artur Mateus, Director, Center for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRSP), Polytechnic of Leiria, Portugal, Prof. Geoffrey Mitchell, Former Vice-Director and my major host for my visit to CDRSP. I had a comprehensive detailed interactions and discussions with Dr. Florindo Gaspar, Vice-Director, CDRSP and Dr. Juliana Rosa Dias, Junior Researcher, CDRSP and their respective groups of research scholars and students.
During an event of Transfer of Technology (ToT) of "Handheld Electrostatic Disinfection Device to Ms. Rite Water Solutions (I) Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, Maharashtra, India for commercial production. The technology was transferred to Industry in presence of Prof. S. Anantha Ramakrishna, Director, CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh and other departmental heads and representatives.
This technology was an outcome of a COVID-19 Ignition Grant project funded by U.S-India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) in collaboration with M/s. Rite Water Solutions (I) Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, India and University of Florida, USA.
During an MoU signing event between CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIR-CSIO) and The Polytechnic of Leiria, Portugal on June 14, 2022.
Both CSIR-CSIO and The Polytechnic of Leiria share a common vision for conducting cutting edge research in the areas of 3D printing and direct digital manufacturing which is applied to Agriculture, Environment, Biomedical, Healthcare and Food Science and have come together and signed an MoU to work in a collaborative manner to pursue the development and commercialization of products for sustainable and secure societies.
Lighting the lamp along with Chief Guest, Air Vice Marshal Praveen Bhatt VSM (Veteran) of two-day mentoring workshop for the State Level Awardees selected under INSPIRE awards-MANAK 2020-2021 (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh on May 05-06, 2022.
The awardees of INSPIRE Awards-MANAK 2020-21 were from three states i.e. Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab. The aim of this program is to motivate students of classes 6-10 in the age group of 10-15 years to be critical thinkers and provide support to convert their ideas/innovations into prototypes.
