Prairie Pointe Assisted Living is located in Bismarck, North Dakota, and offers a range of assisted living apartments and basic care suites. Established in 2018, Prairie Pointe includes 52 apartments and provides a variety of amenities and activities designed to support quality of life for its residents. Prairie Pointe is a ministry of Cassia, an organization whose mission is to foster fullness of life for older adults in the spirit of Christ’s love. Cassia provides independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, adult day programs, and other community-based services across five states.

During my leadership practicum, I had the opportunity to work alongside Melanie Soupir, Executive Director of Prairie Pointe Assisted Living. I completed 100 practicum hours under her mentorship, gaining insight into leadership, operations, and care delivery within a long-term care setting. This experience allowed me to observe and apply leadership principles related to communication, team collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational management.
