My academic development throughout the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the University of Mary has been shaped by both university-level competencies and programmatic outcomes that emphasize leadership, clinical excellence, and professional formation. At the university level, I have developed a strong foundation in moral courage and professional distinction, which has guided my growth as a nurse leader committed to ethical practice, service, and lifelong learning.
At the programmatic level, the DNP/FNP curriculum has strengthened my ability to integrate advanced clinical knowledge, evidence-based practice, and systems thinking to improve patient outcomes. Through coursework, clinical experiences, and scholarly work, I have enhanced my clinical reasoning, leadership capacity, and ability to educate and mentor future nurse practitioners. This program has prepared me to lead within complex healthcare environments while remaining grounded in patient-centered care and professional integrity.
