Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my portfolio. I invite you to listen to my recorded message and explore my work as a nurse practitioner, graduate nursing educator, and nursing leader. I hope this space provides insight into my commitment to advancing patient care and the nursing profession.
I grew up in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, a small farming community of approximately 700 people. I currently reside in Mandan, North Dakota, with my husband, Brice, and we are the proud parents of three children.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MedCenter One College of Nursing in 2005. I had always known I wanted to become an advanced practice registered nurse and continued my education, earning a Master of Science in Nursing and becoming a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2010. Shortly thereafter, I further expanded my scope of practice by completing a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Throughout my career as a nurse practitioner, I have had the opportunity to precept many nurse practitioner students, which sparked my passion for teaching and mentorship. Academia was always a path I considered, and I am grateful to have made the transition in 2023. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Graduate Nursing and the DNP/FNP Program Coordinator at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Through my role in education, I have recognized the immense value of a terminal degree and the impact it has on advancing nursing practice and preparing future providers. I am proud to have achieved my goal of earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice in April 2026.
As a nurse practitioner, graduate nursing educator, and nursing leader, I am committed to advancing patient-centered care and shaping the next generation of nurse practitioners.
