What We Offer

As a class and an organization at Deep Run High School, we do so much more than other classes do before, during, and after school. Our mission statement is To Develop Citizens of Character. As a part of that mission, we focus on citizenship and community service.

Just like any other class, JROTC has a curriculum that includes:

• Aviation History

• Current Events

• Astronomy

• STEM

• Aerospace Education

• Health and Wellness

• Management Skills

• College and Career Readiness

Outside of the classroom, our corps has a number of  extracurricular clubs and activities such as:

• Drill, Honor Guard, Raiders, etc.

• Field Trips

• Community Service

• Field Day's

Although Air Force JROTC is the ONLY class at our school funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, there is NO MILITARY obligation or commitment associated with this class. However, if you choose to enlist after high school, three years of JROTC can give you an additional $400 monthly with an advanced promotion upon enlistment.
