Veteran's Day is a symbolic holiday meant to honor the men and women who've served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Likewise, Deep Run High School hosts a schoolwide Veteran's Day assembly with the collaboration of JROTC, the Band, and the Chorus. The 2025 DRHS Veteran's Day assembly began with the corps commander's introduction, and it was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the playing of the National Anthem under the direction of the Color Guard. There was an introductory video from the Virginia War Memorial for our keynote speaker, and immediately after that, our guest speaker gave his speech. After the speech, an Honor Guard conducted a Missing Man's Table ceremony to pay tribute to POWs and MIAs. The chorus then sang "God Bless America." Major Scholle then gave a presentation on AFJROTC and the band played the Armed Forces Medley. After the medley, the Color Guard retired the flags, and the assembly was over.
