Virginia Union University is a private HBCU that is located in Richmond, Virginia.
Virginia Union University is where I got my bachelor's of science degree. Originally, I was supposed to go for the civil engineering major until I have found out it was discontinued years ago due to low enrollment. Since there was no turning back, I has decided to go for the mathematics major. As always, I took the core classes during my first two years. The real challenge kicks in when I took the classes that was shown below.
Differential Equations
Advanced Calculus (I & II)
Numerical Analysis
Vector Analysis
University Physics (I & II)
Modern Algebra (I & II)
Complex Variables (I & II)
Probability and Statistics (I & II)
Discrete Math
Linear Algebra
Calculus (I, II & III-Multivariable)
As each student reaches his or her senior year in college, it is mandatory to do a senior research in order to graduate thus leading me to create a topic that involves both math and physics. The topic has to be my first major work as it has led me to present at major research conferences.
Researched “Model Applications of Differential Equations”
Utilized Mathematics and Physics principles to solve problems
Presented research findings at Virginia State University Undergraduate Research Conference
