Howard University is a private HBCU that is located in Washington, DC.
Howard University is one of the universities that participates in a summer program called the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU). The program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program. During that 10-week period over at Howard, I was the only one out of the 6 students who has already finished the undergraduate school. Each student was partnered with a physics professor to do a research about the topic they were given.Â
The goal is to found out whether or not a simple equation is solvable using the extension of Lorentz Transformations. For this case, I was partnered with Dr. Tristan Hubsch. The topic we were doing at the time is the one that is shown below. In the end, it was determined that it is solvable using the extension of Lorentz Transformations.
