Transportation

Transportation is my main specialty when it comes to civil engineering. Transportation engineering is a branch of civil engineering that is involved in the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of safe and efficient transportation systems. These systems include roadways, railways, waterways, and intermodal operations. Primarily, I have a strong knowledge of public transportation since I was very little. This has led me to come to North Carolina A&T State University to study civil engineering in the first place.

For this case, this group project involves an artificial island that is built on the North Atlantic Ocean, 8-12 miles off of Morehead, North Carolina. The island contains land uses that are bring negative effects such as landfills and chemical plants. It also serves as the gateway between the mainlands and the internationals.
