On April 29, 2022, the President approved and signed R.A. No. 11716, where under Section 3, the NMMC's capacity increase to 1,200 was provided. The IRR of this Act shall be developed in accordance with R.A. No. 11223, the Universal Health Care Act, which ensures that all Filipinos have equitable access to quality health care goods and services.
