On April 29, 2022, the President approved and signed R.A. No. 11724. Section 5 of the Act provides for its implementation through the Department of Health’s programs and appropriations. The implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of this Act shall be in accordance with R.A. No. 11223, or the Universal Health Care (UHC) Act, which ensures that all Filipinos have equitable access to quality health care goods and services.
