FULL TITLE OF GPPA: Public Consultation on the Draft Department Memorandum entitled "Revised National Reference Laboratories National External Quality Assurance / Proficiency Testing Application and Schedule of Fees"
DESCRIPTION: In accordance with Department Order No. 2020-0820, the National External Quality Assurance System (NEQAS) aims to assess the quality of clinical and public health laboratories, and mandated under various regulations, including those for clinical laboratories (A.O. No. 2021-0037), drinking water analysis labs (A.O. No. 2020-0031), Rapid HIV Diagnostic Algorithm implementation (A.O. No. 2019-0001), and drug testing labs (Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 2, s. 2003). Participation and satisfactory performance in NEQAS are required for renewing licenses through the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau and the Regulatory and Licensing Enforcement Divisions in the Centers for Health Development.
