By authority of the Secretary of Health, signed and issued by the Undersecretary of Health and (then) Chief of Staff, Dr. Albert Francis E. Domingo, addressed to all DOH executives, central and regional directors, directors of specialty hospitals, chiefs of hospitals, treatment and rehabilitation centers, heads of attached agencies, directs necessary actions in support of the policy directions, and to encourage private hospitals and health facilities to similarly promote the welfares, professional growth, and safe practice environment of nurses.
The DOH HFDB promulgates the Hospital Nursing Service Administration Manual, as well as performance standards for nurses in certain health facility-based policies and programs. However, this issuance did not originate from DOH HFDB: Address further inquiries about this issuance to the DOH's Health Human Resource Development Bureau, or as regards coordination with legislators, the Legislative Liaison Division under the Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau.
