National Policy on Promotion and Protection of Health in Jails, Prisons, Custodial Facilities and Other Places of Detention

Provides a policy framework to reduce disease burden, and promote health and well-being of people in places of detention, both the persons deprived of liberty (PDL) and the detention personnel; applies to the operation, maintenance, and management of places of detention of the DOH, DILG, and DOJ, these agencies' respective units, attached agencies, and corporations (PhilHealth, BIMP, and BuCor), DOH and local government hospitals and health facilities, and other concerned entities.
