In recognizing the invaluable contribution of OFWs to the Philippine economy, the Government is cognizant of the risks assumed and sacrifices made by the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and their families. As response to a presidential directive issued to the DOH, this Order provides guidelines in the establishment of a dedicated hospital ward for the inpatient care of OFWs (documented and undocumented, sea-based and land-based) and their qualified dependents, and applies to all Level 3 Hospitals under the direct supervision and control of the DOH.
