It is essential for teachers to continue learning and improving skills whether it be in the classroom, athletics, or just life in general. These types of experiences provided me the opportunity to learn some strategies that I can apply to my own classroom.
9R: Is aware of and complies with the mandatory reporter provisions of Section 4 of the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act [325 ILCS 5/4]
This provided me the knowledge and skills needed to understand how to take appropriate action. It is my job as an educator to protect the well-being of students and know how to approach these types of situations.
