Guidelines

To ensure the best performance and compatibility inside the VR4Life platform, please follow the recommendations below when uploading video files.

Supported Formats

• .mp4, .mov, .webm

• Monoscopic or stereoscopic (for 360° / 180°)

• Traditional videos (e.g. cutscenes, trailers, YouTube-style content)

Maximum File Size

• Up to 8 GB per video

• This limit is due to current hardware constraints.

Recommended Settings

• Frame Rate: 30 fps (recommended for smooth playback and reduced processing time)

• Audio: Stereo or mono (surround sound is not supported yet)

Encoding Format

All uploaded videos are automatically converted to H.265 (HEVC) for better compression and performance.

Resolutions and Bitrate (H.265)

• 8K - 63 Mbps

• 5K - 42 Mbps

• 4K - 30 Mbps

• Full HD(1080p) - 8 Mbps

• Below 1080p - 5 Mbps 

However, if your video is already exported using the following specifications, it will not be reprocessed, resulting in faster upload and playback.

⚠️ Notes

• Videos not matching these parameters will be re-encoded, which may slightly affect quality and increase upload time.

• For best results in VR headsets, avoid extremely fast cuts or excessive motion blur.
