Once the frame is installed you can mount the panels. The four aluminium rails mounted on the frame are 6,15m long, ideal fit for 2 rows of 6 panels. The rails are bought from a local solar reseller together with the panels and all nuts and bolts
Nothing fancy here, just 12 280W regular solar panels. The only fancy thing is the black frame iso silver frame that's a 15% extra charge. Connectors are watertight but I positioned them that water even had a chance to come even close. If I attach a connector or wire to the frame/rail I make sure the wire is protected. I use a piece of bicycle inner tube.
For a 48V I choose to connect 3 panels in series. Because of shade in the morning and evening (black & blue line) I had this specific configuration in mind and it turned out to work fine. The four strings are combined via a combinerbox. The combinerbox located under the solarpanels is via solarwires connected to the charger, the well known PCM60X. The PCM60X is converting the extra voltage to extra amps.
