Trash pick-up:
Tuesdays and Fridays mornings
Recycle pick-up: New Map with colors
Alternating Mondays for homes north of Stauffer. (yellow)
Alternating Tuesdays for homes south of Stauffer. (pink)
In addition to paying for the service of having a truck and sanitation workers come to our homes and remove our trash, DHOA also must pay Frederick County per ton of trash that the contractor dumps at the county transfer station. These are called tipping fees and it is the largest line item in our budget. To reduce our tipping fees, please remember to recycle!
To help keep our neighborhood looking beautiful, please do not put trash and recycle containers out before 6 pm Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for pick-up the following morning. Please bring in your containers back in as soon as possible after pick-up.
Twice-monthly service commences from April 1 through December 10. The normal collection day will be the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (April through December only).
