🏊 Day Pass Reminder
We would like to remind everyone that day passes are required for all patrons entering the pool, regardless of age. As stated in the day pass description, day passes are for all ages, including infants, children, and adults.
Children 5 and under are only free with a season membership. This applies to both Discovery resident memberships and non-resident family memberships, because all family members are listed on the membership account.
For example, if you purchase a $375 non-resident family membership, your entire family is covered for the season, including children 5 and under.
However, day passes are not memberships. If you are visiting the pool using day passes, every person entering the pool must purchase a day pass, including children 5 and under.
This policy also helps us maintain accurate daily attendance records, so we know how many patrons are using the pool each day.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable time at the pool!
Dear Homeowner or Residents,
The Board of Directors (BOD) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 pool season, beginning May 23, 2026.
The pool will operate eight hours per day, Tuesday through Sunday, throughout May, June, and July on non-school days, and eight hours per day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during August on non-school days, and on Labor Day.
The Association has scheduled an open house on May 23, 2026. This open house will not include a party. The Association plans to host one pool party per month during the season; additional details will be announced separately.
The BOD urges all residents to become pool members this year. Strong membership participation helps ensure that the pool remains open for the entire season. We encourage residents to purchase memberships rather than relying on day passes. If membership participation is too low, the pool may be subject to closure.
Registration for passes for the 2026 pool season will be the same as in 2025. BOD has again contracted with Access Granted Systems, LLC (AGS) to use their pool pass software for pool registration. Please go to:
https://swimmingpoolpasses.net/discovery-community-pool/
Access Granted Community Portal (Link)
to complete an application for membership online, or to download/print a paper application.
Membership Fees:
Early Bird Special: $35.00 per person if paid on or before April 15, 2026.
After April 15, 2026: $45.00 per person.
Residents 5 and under are free.
Non-resident fees remain the same as last year and are posted on the website above.
You may pay membership fees by credit card if you register online. If you choose to use the paper application, please mail the application with a check to the address indicated at the bottom of the application.
Please be advised that you must be current on your assessment account to obtain membership if you live in the Discovery community.
Guest and Day Passes (punch tickets) may be purchased in the “Marketplace” section of the website listed above and picked up at the pool desk. Single, 5, 10, 15, and 20 punch tickets are available. Prices are listed on the website.
AGS will mail members a barcode pass to the address listed on the application. When a member arrives at the pool entrance, the lifeguard will scan your pass or guest pass prior to accessing the pool. The barcode pass allows the lifeguard to monitor your account and activity.
Pool rules are posted at the pool entrance and are part of the online pool pass application. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THEM. Printed copies are available at the DHOA office upon request.
In 2026, only residents 14 years and older may enter the pool without an accompanying adult.
The 250-pound weight limit remains in effect for the diving board. Please adhere to no back flips and no more than two bounces on the board when using it.
No smoking is permitted within the entire pool premises and within 50 feet of the Recreation Center building and fence. Music volume is limited to personal headphones only so that other pool patrons may not hear your music.
The BOD looks forward to a safe and healthy 2026 pool season filled with fun for all.
Please contact the Pool Committee at poolrecommittee@gmail.com or call the office at 301-845-2050 with any questions or comments.
Thank you for your cooperation.
